Hi, my name is Liz Walsh. I am the owner of Liz Walsh Doula and photography services in Central Illinois. Let me tell you about what Marketing School for Photographers has done for me as a business owner. Before starting this course, I did not know how to find clients. I did not know how to build a website that would attract my ideal clients. I was not priced at what my worth was. But after taking this course, I was able to triple my inquiries, fully book my model call, create a website that is authentic to who I am, and attract the ideal client for me. I am now priced at my worth with my services, and my clients are adding on additional services that they were not initially adding on before taking this course.

I am really pleased because my anxieties were so high. I didn't understand how to run a course. I always felt overwhelmed and didn't know where to get started. But I love that I can look back at this course and look at the roadmap for running a business. It's right there for me. If I ever want to change anything or if it feels stuck in my business, I can go back and look at modules that will help me reinvent or tweak or modify the things that I'm already doing.

I no longer overthink my simple business tasks because it's all right there for me in the course. I'm super grateful for this, and I'm really pleased to announce that I'm the busiest I've ever been as a doula and photographer. I'm forever grateful for that.

Hi, I'm Ashley, and I'm located in Pennsylvania. I have been doing photography since 2017. After I had two of my babies, I absolutely fell in love with newborns and birth. I've never known anybody that ever had birth photography before, so I didn't really know what all I had involved. I just knew I thought it was so beautiful, and I'd love to tell people's stories through photos. So, I came across Tavia's course, I think probably on Instagram, and I knew I needed to take it. Something was pulling at my heart, saying, "Actually, you need to take this." So, I took the course, and I absolutely fell in love with it. It was jam-packed full of so much information, and that really helped build my confidence and knowing exactly what to do to successfully shoot at birth and for my clients to actually trust me. I just speak so highly of this course. I can definitely tell a big change in just my confidence level, but also my skill level. I feel like I was a pretty skilled photographer at the beginning of the course, but now I just know going into every birth that I know exactly what I'm going to do, the workflow. I know every birth is so different, but I have a little cheat sheet that I bring with the right poses and the right camera settings. I just have so much confidence in myself, and I think it shows in my work and when I talk to my clients.

I've also really improved my marketing because of this course. My SEO game, my social media marketing, and just like blog posts, it all really comes together, and I've really been getting a lot more inquiries. The model call, oh my goodness, that was a game-changer because it allowed me to have the content to post and to show my work. So, this was such a great course, and I'm so grateful that I took it.

Hi, my name is Anna Roorda, and I joined this course at the end of April, so I haven't been in very long. I've gotten about halfway through so far, and I would say my biggest takeaway so far has been identifying my limiting beliefs about myself. One of the biggest ones was realizing that I have been holding myself back because I didn't feel like, not that I wasn't worthy of earning money, but sort of like maybe it wasn't God's plan for me. Who am I to limit what God wants to give me? So, I am going to put myself forth and ask that God bless my business.

The other thing that has also been the biggest takeaway is that I have streamlined a lot of my website. I realized my website had a little ADD going on, and it wasn't very clear as to, you know, this, this, and this—steps to. It was all over the place. So, I kind of pulled that down together. I've made it a lot more clear when you're looking through it and tried to look at it from a user's perspective. If I was someone coming to this website, would I leave because it wasn't clear how to book a session or what was being offered? So, so far, those have been my biggest takeaways. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I'm Kelsey White, and I am a birth photographer in the Sacramento, California area. I've been a photographer for a little over 10 years, but like on the side, kind of a thing. It wasn't until actually just last October, so October 2022, that I officially launched as a birth photographer. So, I've only been doing this for eight months, and if you would have asked me probably a week or two ago, I would have said I didn't really have anything overly helpful to share or encouraging to share because it's been a slow journey. I had two births in January and then didn't have anything, no inquiries, nothing coming in for like four months, and so I was feeling super discouraged.

But then also just remembering that I'm starting, I'm still growing. All of a sudden, I booked two more clients for June and July, and I had two more clients come in that I actually had to turn away. Then I had two more clients coming in, and one of them was like, "I want to book your highest package." And I was just like, "What is happening?" So basically, I kind of just wanted to come and share to just keep doing the work. Just keep doing the work, keep putting yourself out there like Tavia talks about, and like Lydia shared in one of her calls. It's just like specifically like social media, just remembering to keep putting yourself out there because people are going to find you, and they just need to remember that you're there.

So, just kind of learning to trust that the right clients will come. They're like Tavia says, there are people out there who are willing and ready to pay, and they want what you have to offer, and they're willing and ready to pay. And that can be really hard to think that's true until it actually happens. And so definitely, being a part of this community and this course has brought major confidence. I even raised my prices at one point, and then honestly, I was just like, "I don't think that was high enough." And so I literally, before even giving them to anybody, I raised them again. And that's when I have two clients that are about to book with me, and that's what they're going to be paying, my newest high prices that I raised twice.

And yeah, I think honestly the marketing course, the community has been the most life-giving because it can be incredibly lonely, trying to venture out into this new area alone and just feeling like, "I don't know what I'm doing. I'm learning. I don't want to super learn hard lessons if I don't have to. I would rather glean from other people." So, it's been really helpful to just have a community that you can lean into and ask questions and ask for help and lean into for support. And be it mental, going through birth work can be difficult. So yeah, just the community and the marketing course itself has been or just the calls with Tavia and Lydia have been very challenging as well, and I think that's also very helpful. There's been things where I'm still working on. I still have a lot of work to do in the course and things that Tavia and I have talked about and that I still need to work on. But yeah, it's a brilliant community and also very challenging, and it's very helpful.

I'm Valeria Leyba, and I joined Marketing School a little over a year ago. Before joining Marketing School, I had been a photographer for a couple of years, and I pretty much photographed anybody that would pay me. Recently, I decided that I wanted to specialize in birth. I had never shot a birth, but I still had some legalities established and some systems in place. I was very clueless, I had zero confidence, and I had no idea what to do next.

I began searching for a step-by-step guide that would help me take my business to the next level, and I came across Marketing School. After joining Marketing School, I took the project plan quiz, and it had me start with the model call. From that, I was able to book my first five births, none of which were for free. Even though I never shot a birth before, all five of these births paid me a third of what my full price is. So right off the bat, that was a huge confidence boost for me.

After Marketing School, I feel a lot more organized, and I feel like I actually have a sense of direction when it comes to all the aspects of marketing. I have a very clear understanding that marketing is beyond social media, which is what I believed prior to this course. Marketing School has also helped me feel confident in niching down to a very specific genre within birth, which blows my mind because prior to Marketing School, I would photograph anybody that paid me.

What I love about this course is that it truly is designed for every photographer, no matter where you're at in your journey. This course is great for the person just starting out. It's great for the person who has years of experience, and it's really great for people somewhere in between. Another thing that I love about this course is that there's value in every single module, and you don't have to finish the course to begin seeing results in your business. I've only finished like 10% of the course, and still, the value that I've received from the portion that I finished has been worth it.

Another thing that I love about the course is the ongoing community and education you receive through the monthly calls. I'm constantly learning new things, new strategies, and what's trending on social media because Tavia keeps up with those things. I'm excited to see how much my business is going to grow once I actually finish the course, but mostly, I get so excited when I see new people joining Marketing School because I know what it's done for me, and I know what it can do for other people as well.

Hi, my name is Lauren, and I am here to tell you about Marketing School for Photographers. I have been a part of Marketing School for Photographers for three years now, I believe, and it is something that I come back to on a yearly basis. I typically take multiple things away from it. It has really helped with my confidence on how to run the back end of my business and how to make sure that my clients are getting the best experience possible. Along with making sure I'm doing the right thing when it comes to pulling my ideal client in, it really is key for me to check in and make sure that I've been reaching out to the right people in the birth world, making sure that when I'm ready to put ads out, I'm doing it the correct way, making sure that my workflow makes sense.

There's just so much in this Marketing School for Photographers that you can almost always come back and pull something different from it. It's not a one-and-done thing, or at least it wasn't for me. I started it, and I finished it, and then I moved to a different state, and I kind of started it not from the first module because that's kind of the basics, but from module two. I was able to start working with locals and reaching out and kind of building my local audience, which is something that I necessarily wouldn't have known how to do if I hadn't had the Marketing School for Photographers.

With that, it has brought my first clients in the area and has helped me build my network and my photographer friends in the area, building a new community here, more of a new village for me, which has helped as well. When it comes to my journey, it's really honestly helped me skyrocket, and as I said before, really find my ideal client.

So, I highly suggest being a part of Marketing School for Photographers because, for me, like I said, the great thing is it was not a one-and-done thing. It's something that I've used over and over and over again, and I'll even only pick certain topics that I'll go to to refresh. And, you know, again, my confidence has grown, and so has my audience, including my clientele in a brand new state where I don't know anybody. So, if you're looking for something to really help you with your marketing and reaching out and getting to know people in the area that will help you with your business as well for references and referrals, then I highly recommend joining the Marketing School for Photographers.
