Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am a maternity photographer. Prior to starting marketing school for photographers, my marketing was kind of all over the place. I didn't really know what to do. I was just kind of doing what I saw other photographers doing as far as just creating content on social media. I would be creating lots of content for maybe one month, and then the next month, I wouldn't be creating anything. Because of that, my bookings were kind of all over the place. I would maybe have four or six bookings one month, and then another month, I might have had one. My sales were all over the place as well. I would sell my middle collection and then maybe sell one portrait.

At the beginning of this year, I actually rolled into January with no bookings. That was a really stressful time because my family is very dependent on my income. I supply all the groceries, extracurriculars, clothes, and I can't afford to not have bookings. So I actually stumbled upon Tavia's webinar. After listening to the webinar, I was still on the fence as to whether I wanted to join marketing school. It was, to me, a huge investment at a time when I didn't really have anything coming in. I just rolled into the month with no bookings. I needed a new computer, but I had been manifesting a change that I needed. Something needed to change; something needed to get.

I just felt like the timing lined up perfectly. Sorry, I got a little emotional there for a second. I thought, if I'm expecting clients to invest in me, I need to invest in myself. So I took the chance and joined marketing school, and since then, I've noticed I now have a clear direction of where I'm going with my marketing. I know exactly who my ideal client is, what their pain points are, where they're shopping. So I actually know who I'm marketing to now.

I'm also more consistent in the way I am marketing as far as how many times a week I'm posting, the type of content I'm creating, and doing a blog, which I never really did, and doing email marketing, which I never did prior to this. Networking was scary because I am an introvert, so it was kind of scary putting myself out there. I also restructured my sales sheet according to how Tavia said to restructure my collections. I restructured the way I had presented my products on paper, and since then, I've noticed that I am no longer getting sales where I'm just selling one portrait. I'm actually selling my middle and top collections and add-ons, which is pretty awesome.

I am still working on getting my bookings to the consistency that I would like them to be, but I know that I can just keep going, and consistency is key. I am actually super excited to see what the end of my year looks like and to see the progress that I've made. I am so happy that I made the decision to be a part of marketing school for photographers.

Prior to starting marketing school for photographers, I was shooting mostly motherhood style photography, but I was feeling in a massive rut. I don't know if you've ever been there, but I just wasn't booking what I thought I could.

I was discouraged to my local outreach, and I just wasn't feeling good enough to move in the direction that I needed or wanted to move in, even though I obviously needed to move that way.

However, after a month of just being in the program, I increase my bookings by quite a lot and more importantly than that I had the confidence to completely rework my whole business model like I'm talking upgrading my website increasing my social media presence um and I've gotten twice as many bookings as I did last year and I'm only halfway through this year so that's awesome I even partner with a local studio which I never thought I would do I know where I want to go and how I want to get there. And more importantly than that, I know who I am more now than I ever before, and that I'm worth every penny, every client, and every moment I have with those clients.

I may not have the biggest following, the most bookings or inquiries, but I know who my ideal client is and how to connect with them authentically. Through marketing school for photographers,
I have niched down to birth photography, which was brought on quite a bit of anxiety, but it had brought in so much work. I was actually able to open myself up to a larger market,
even though I'm niching down. And I now get clients for birth photography, but have structured my business in a way with diversified add -ons, such as maternity, lifestyle newborns,
and now doula services, that I can now take a what could have been a one and done client in the past to a repeat client catering to their needs in a specific moment in life. As someone who craves knowledge and learning,

I know that I have so much more to learn, but I am so proud of where I've come in the last six months, and I cannot wait to see what the next six months entail.

Hello, my name is Christal, I own Christiana Joy Photography based out of Ohio and I joined the marketing school for photographers at the beginning of 2024 and I joined because I wanted accountability and structure.
I had a lot of information swimming around in my brain that I had collected over years of just learning about entrepreneurship and business ownership, but I didn't know how to focus it or what to start with and I had no direction.
So I was really hoping that the course would be that for me and it was. I was able to go through each module and really hone in on what I wanted for each particular thing and specifically What the marketing school for photographers did and what Tavia helped me with was learning SEO and learning how to get discoverable on Google.
I went from literally you googled my business and I would not show up the name of my business to searching my town maternity photographer, my town birth photographer and showing up like number two on Google.
Absolutely incredible And I am so thankful Tavia worked with me on a coaching call. I think several coaching calls to figure all this out and it was so, so helpful. And now I'm there.
Now I'm on Google, you can find me. And on top of that, I am learning, I learned about blog posts and just the importance of doing that.
So I'm blogging every week and really like adding to that content. SEO was one of those mystified, super hard for me to understand type things until I took this course and now I've actually reached out to other photographers and been able to help them with their SEO.
So that is absolutely amazing. And the other second thing that was really helpful for me in taking this course was learning Facebook and Instagram ads. If you have ever tried to do Facebook and Instagram ads,
you know the pain. It is just so hard to figure out, but everyone in the community was so helpful in helping me figure this out. Tavia was so helpful in helping me figure it out.
And I've run a couple fairly successful AdSense then. So I am so thankful. It has saved me so much headache and so much frustration by actually being able to have someone to ask questions to and a community to really help me out.
So I am so glad that I got the course. I wasn't sure at the beginning. I thought that I already knew a lot. I wasn't sure if I could learn more, but I definitely learned more and it has been so helpful for me and just giving me direction and really helping me figure out two of the hardest things in entrepreneurship when it comes to marketing,
which is SEO and Facebook ads. So thank you so much, Tavia.
